Made by a Spanish teacher, for Spanish teachers.
I am Marcy Turner, a Spanish teacher who spent 8 years in elementary and middle school classrooms. Now I make the resources I used with my own students.
How it started
I started out as an attorney, a career I did not love. Then I became an elementary and middle school Spanish teacher, and I loved it. I taught for 8 years. When four back surgeries kept me out of the classroom, I combined my love of teaching with my love of color and design, taught myself Photoshop, Illustrator and WordPress, and Fabulous Classroom began.
What I make
I make no-prep, print-and-go Spanish resources for busy teachers: flashcards, games, task cards, digital activities and classroom decor that are bright, classroom-tested and ready the day you need them. I have sold them on Teachers Pay Teachers since 2012, and now they are together in one place.
What I believe
Your prep time belongs to your life, not your lesson plans. Kids learn Spanish best when they are having too much fun to notice they are learning, and Spanish class deserves the same respect as math and reading. Every kid deserves to actually succeed in it, and to see real culture, not stereotypes.
Where things are now
The Fabulous Spanish Classroom has 100+ resources today, in six topic courses and a Start Here guide for elementary teachers. They are made for elementary, Spanish 1 and 2, and dual language classrooms, and I add new ones as I finish them.
